Treating Musculoskeletal Pain

Victoria BC.

Telemedicine and telephone appointments

APPOINTMENT REMINDERS: we have switched to an email/text notification of your appointment and ask that when you receive it you click the button to confirm. You will no longer receive a reminder phone call.
Road works are scheduled again in March on West Saanich Road, between Hartland and the Spartan/Prospect Lake intersection. Please allow extra time if you are driving southbound along West Saanich Road.

COVID INFORMATION STILL IN EFFECT:
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT: these precautions reduce the risk of Covid-19 for everyone concerned and allow us to remain open to treat urgent pain conditions.
*All patients coming to our office at this time are requested to wear a MEDICAL MASK. This is a directive from Public Health. It does help to reduce the infection rate.
*Wash your hands just before you come.
*Hand sanitizer is available to use immediately upon entering the office.
*Please observe physical distancing at reception.
*If you come early, after you let us know you have arrived, please wait outside on the patio or in your car until you are called inside.
*If someone is accompanying you, unless they are needed to assist you they should preferably remain in the car while you are treated, in order to reduce the number of people in the waiting room.

Please note that our receptionist hours are different to usual, and leave us a message if you get the answering machine when you call. OFFICE HOURS: 9:30 AM to 5 PM Tuesday-Thursday + Friday 9:30 AM-4 PM.

2 questions to see if you should come to your appointment; if yes, then please cancel.
  1. Do you currently have any respiratory or flu symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat or breathing difficulties?
  2. Have you knowingly been in contact recently with anyone who has COVID-19 or is being investigated for this?
  • If you have any respiratory symptoms (colds, coughs, fever), cancel your appointment! No fees will be charged but we would like as much notice as possible.
  • If you only need a phone or telemedicine consultation, please ask us
  • If you have accompanied anyone to their appointment, once they are in our office please wait either outside on our patio or in your car unless you are needed to interpret or assist.
  • If you arrive early for your appointment, check in with our front staff then wait outside or in your car until your appointment time.
  • In cold weather bring a coat, gloves, and hat in case you decide to wait outside.
  • If you need a drink, have this in your car before you come in. Leave as many items as possible in your vehicle and bring as little as possible into the office. If you are wearing a coat or jacket, bring it into the examination room with you.
  • We wipe down all clinical surfaces regularly with medicated wipes.
  • We encourage you to use “tap” where possible on the bank machine.

We continue to monitor the situation and will post any updates on our website.
Yours in health,
Drs David and Jannice Bowler

Covid-19/Coronavirus: please call to cancel your appointment if you are sick. We will not charge late-notice fees for health reasons. We want to keep everyone safe, so please stay in your car if you arrive early (after letting our staff know you are here), as we only have a small waiting room. Remember to wash your hands, and stay home if you are ill. Please read the very important notice above about COVID-19, before you come. www.bccdc.ca is a reliable website for more information.

Normal hours: the office is usually open Tuesday - Thursdays 9:30 am - 5:00 pm, Fridays 9:30 am-4:00 pm most weeks. Please note that Drs David and Jannice Bowler have different individual days/hours. Please check the website for questions about the different treatments we offer as well as for directions to our clinic. Yes, you do need a referral from your family doctor, specialist, or a walk-in clinic before we can book an appointment for you.  A sample referral form is under the "for physicians" tab for your doctor to use if they wish. If you don't have time to look at much on the website, look at this document below:
