The Stecco method of Fascial Manipulation has been developed by Luigi Stecco, an Italian physiotherapist, along with his daughter Carla, (orthopaedic surgeon and anatomist), and his son Antonio (physiatrist, ie. physical medicine and rehab). There has been a lot of research in this field in recent years, with the Italians at the forefront, and we went across to begin learning how to incorporate this technique into our practices. We are hoping to be able to help you with one other treatment option in future!
Here's what David and I have been up to lately: a very small group of health care practitioners (with appropriate Covid-19 restrictions!) met for 2 weekends in Vancouver to learn this new-to-us technique.
